📍 Port St. Lucie, Florida
⚾ Home of the St. Lucie Mets
Located on the Treasure Coast halfway between Miami and Orlando, pristine and homey Clover Park is primarily known as the spring training home of the New York Mets, who dazzle crowds throughout February and March. But during summer, the ballpark serves as a crucial link in the player development chain for the club, hosting the Florida State League’s St. Lucie Mets.

Opened in 1988 and known by many different names since, the venue now called Clover Park is one of the more distinctive spring training facilities in South Florida. It uniquely features the same dimensions as Shea Stadium – the Mets’ former home in Queens – and actually bears some architectural similarity to NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, the home of the club’s Triple-A farm team which was constructed in the late ’90s. Clover Park was heavily renovated in 2018, with top-notch lighting and field improvements at the forefront of the overhaul, along with an aesthetically improved exterior entrance. The ballpark now boats a capacity of just over 7,000.

The Mets – the squad here in St. Lucie, that is – have had some wonderful success at Clover Park, clinching 6 championships throughout their history, including in their inaugural season over the Osceola Astros. Many former players have eventually returned to St. Lucie for spring training as members of the major league Mets, including David Wright, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Pedro Martinez, Jacob deGrom and Mike Piazza; the street on which Clover Park is situated is named in honor of the latter.
With a variety of concession stands serving up classic ballpark fare, a team store stocked with gameday gear and a great little picnic area perfect for families, Clover Park is your typical clean and comfortable venue. And with beautiful Florida weather all year long, you can’t go wrong with a game in Port St. Lucie.
