Perhaps the best Minor League Baseball experience around can be found at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of downtown Dayton. For years, the Dragons have been selling out this fantastic little park and providing a minor league gameday atmosphere like no other.

Recording nearly 1,500 consecutive sold out games – the most in any pro sport in America – the Dayton Dragons are undeniably a staple of the southwest Ohio community. With both on- and off-field antics and promotions, as well as engaging chants and songs, the Dragons put on a nightly entertainment spectacle. From “Roofman” who throws down soft-sided baseballs from the stadium’s roof, to an all-inclusive game in the ninth inning that elicits cheers from everyone in the park, there’s never really a dull moment. Yet despite all of the energy and craziness that the team has created, they also respect the game of baseball and provide a relaxing environment during gameplay – the way baseball should be. No other Minor League team I’ve seen does what Dayton can do, with a well-executed dynamic atmosphere which resembles that of college football.

The Dragons have a great ballpark to match. Day Air Ballpark holds a little over 8,000 people, which it has on a nightly basis since its inception in 2000, selling out every game in Dragons history. The park even has upper deck seating, which is very rare at the High-A level. The 360-concourse, multiple standing room areas, berm seating and built-in craft brewery spots only encourage the feeling that you’re at a Triple-A venue.
